Halloween front porch

did something just move. I thought as I made my way towards the dark doorway.

Walking up a long flight of stairs the only sound available to my ears was the creaking of splintering wood below me. Looking ahead, trying to stay on balance I saw a shadow slither away. Closing my eyes as I took my last few steps to the door a slimy, stringy mess which was connected to a dangling porch light, slapped me in the face. Knowing I had already been here way to long, I put my hand on the bell, when suddenly the doorknobs slowly twisted and the door opened revealing a dark, empty house.

*BOOM* a crash of thunder sounded and a gust of cool, spine tingling wind blew the door shut, right in my face. Not knowing what to do, I looked around the porch when I spied a huge hole in the wall. Coming from the hole I heard a scratching noise, followed by a fierce, angry animal squeal. That’s when I sprinted down the breaking stairs, my heart racing faster than a black cat being chased, to meet my friends in the street.

Rain -Weekly Post

Sitting cozy, under a fluffy blanket at midnight while watching a movie is the concept of “being contempt” that I like. I didn’t think it could get much better until a sudden blast of falling raindrops shattered the dark, quietness that  surrounded. Looking out the window, I could see the long, crystal clear drops streaking through the air and plummeting to the ground. On my roof, it sounded like a million marbles bouncing around. This lasted until the early hours of the morning when the rain was joined by crackles of thunder and blinding bolts of lightening. The next morning, before I even opened my eyes I could smell my favorite smell, the smell after it rains.

My name

My name is Olivia and It means “The Olive Tree”. I think this is kind of funny considering I despise olives. I think the consistency and taste are both disgusting, but that’s just my opinion. My parents named me Olivia for a couple of reasons. First, my mom used to live in London and she was living with another family who had a daughter named Olivia, she thought it was as very pretty name for a girl. That wasn’t the only named she liked, she also liked the name Kylie (or Kyle if I was going to be a boy). The second reason and what made her decision, was my aunt also liked the name Olivia. That made my moms decision because her and my aunt are very close and they grew up together, they are sisters (obviously)! My mom is younger and has looked up to my aunt forever, and still does. I love the name Olivia because it is very easy to spell, write, and say. Also, whenever people meet me they usually say that my name is beautiful and that makes me feel special. If you were wondering what your name means just go to  the link below, you could also leave a comment telling me what your name means.
